2021
The 43rd Annual Hub Hanley Memorial Wild Game Dinner sponsored by the Charlotte Optimists took place on Thursday, December 2 at St. Mary Parish Hall with a sold out crowd. BBQ venison meatballs, blue gill, wild turkey sweet & sour, venison stroganoff tips and mushrooms, salmon lasagna, grilled goose, and baked venison roast were just some of the dishes served along with wild au gratin spuds, cole slaw, venison chili and the meal was topped off with Jennifer’s delicious sheet cakes.

The Optimists are selling a variety of milk chocolate double dipped peanuts (sold out), cranberry crunch, cinnamon almonds, roasted and salted Pistachios, Fancy Pecans, Mixed Nuts, and Jumbo Cashews. The $30 jars are sold out. The Ferris Nut Company product will be available from members and at Balanced Health Chiropractic Center at 710 W. Lawrence from November 8 to December 23 or while supplies last.

Your Donation in any amount will support the youth of our community and it stays right in the community and goes for the Charlotte Optimist John W. Duris Scholarship, Christmas Kiddies, Optimist Park, Youth Appreciation, Teacher of the Year, Special Olympics, Charlotte Community Library, Eaton Clothing and Furniture, Helping Hands Food Pantry, Crosswalk Teen Center, Guardian Angels Suitcases 4 Kids, Maple Valley Playground, T-Ball Sponsor, Senior Banners around the Courthouse, Special Riding Program, Fall Sports Program, and Charlotte Elementary School Robotics Club.  100% of your donation goes to our youth.
